A group of employees dedicated to volunteerism recently gathered outside of the office to assemble backpacks for the upcoming Camp Little Red Door, organized by our friends at the Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
Camp Little Red Door is offered to any child who is in cancer treatment or beyond and resides in Central Indiana. The week-long camping experience at Bradford Woods hosts these children, plus a sibling or friend to support them. The camp allows them to foster camaraderie with other kids facing the same hardships.
These backpacks are crucial to ensure that campers have a pleasant and well-equipped camping experience; including a handmade fleece blanket, teddy bear, hat, tissues, hand sanitizers, sunglasses, flashlights, and more. These items aim to enhance the campers' comfort and overall enjoyment during their stay.
Volunteering at Little Red Door is a wonderful experience. We rally behind a wonderful cause, see immediate results of our efforts, and create deeper connections with co-workers while positively impacting the communities we serve.
Elements focuses volunteerism through our three “Pillars of Giving,” two of which include “Healthy Lifestyles” and “Youth Development.” By collaborating with Little Red Door on this project, we were able to support a community health and wellness initiative dedicated to youth. Our third Pillar of Giving at Elements is “Homelessness and Housing.”
